Carrier 50CE Transformer
A transformer is very common in many household goods which includes your forced air system as it changes a normal current of electricity from 120V to 24V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers could have a certain criteria and you must follow specific voltage needs. When you replace one, make sure to get one that is assessed for the right voltage value that will be needed by the system.
Signs the transformer will not last the year
- No power calculated leaving the HVAC transformer while using a voltmeter
- Flawed voltage is determined coming from the transformer
- Voltage transformer looks cracked or maybe smells like its on fire when it is in use
