Carrier 50CR Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be driven away. The motor can be replaced by itself without the fan blade, this will reduce install time and will not drain your bank account. Take the time to ensure you are able to buy one with the exact voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor.
Signs of a declining compressor fan motor
- The Carrier motor cannot turn at all
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks as it spins
- A terrible crackling noise as the motor turns
