Carrier 50GL024310 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be dissipated. It can be replaced sans the blade, this tends to make installing it easier and cheaper for you. Be sure you find one with the similar voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor.
Hints the fan motor needs replacing
- An unpleasant screeching sound while the cooling fan stops
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move at all
- The compressor cooling motor starts to smoke or throws sparks as it spins
