Carrier 50GL048300 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board instructs the outdoor unit to begin the defrosting phase if necessary, to keep your outdoor unit from plugging up. The defrost board looks to a defrost sensor located in the outdoor unit to determine when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
What happens when my Carrier defrost sensor board has to be replaced?
- Defrost session has not run for a while even though there is a lot of frost that makes the unit run like crap
- AC and heating system could not work due to the amount of frost on the outdoor unit
- The HVAC system control board might issue an error of some type produced by a bad defrost control board
