Carrier 50GL060300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is in charge of cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Be certain the replacement motor has the similar voltage and the same amps as on the current fan motor. It can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this results in a simpler type of replacement and it is something you can do yourself.
Subtle hints the cooling fan motor should need replacing
- A specific grating type sound when the motor is turning
- The Carrier cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or throws sparks while in use
