Carrier 50GS Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is very common in many household goods which also includes your heating system as it changes a normal current of electricity from 120V to 24V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers are all different and must adhere to strict voltage readings. If you need a transformer, it would be a good idea to buy one that is rated for the voltage that is desired.
What are some hints that my main transformer is in need of replacing?
- System transformer looks damaged or you may see sparks white the system is on
- No power coming from a main transformer block for whatever reason
- Wrongly displayed volts is determined stemming from the chief transformer
