Carrier 50GS030300 Limit Switch
Limit switches are crucial due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that decides when the heated air is actually warm enough for the blower to be activated.
What signals that my chief limit switch is about to stop working?
- The HVAC system will not even start or will not stay running for any significant length if time
- The Carrier system is starting to ramp up but then stops time after time
