Carrier 50GX Heat Element
The heating element causes cold air to be warmed before the blower has it scattered throughout the house. Your heating system will not be able to supply the heated air for an entire house if the heat element is faulty.
Simple indications of a weakening heat element
- The heating element itself seems old, dented and in rough shape
- There is no heat generated through the system at all
- Furnace element does not heat up or reach max temp due to its age
