Carrier 50GX024 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, that has a varied resistance that changes as it depends on current temperature. They tell the main board when the temperature has been reached. The system control board deciphers the temp in several different areas to understand what is going on.
What to see if the temp regulating thermister is failing?
- The system may never start up because of any improperly set thermistor
- Blower fan could fail to begin to get up to full speed
