Carrier 50GX030300 Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is not warm enough the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch is a switch in the heating area that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Key signs of a failing critical limit switch
- The heating and AC system will not even start or will not stay running even though max temp has not been reached
- The HVAC system is beginning to runs spotty occasionally
