Carrier 50HJQ012 Expansion Valve
The AC in your house would most likely give you heated air if the valve was not doing its job. Your home AC system contains an expansion valve that permits the refrigerant to expand back into gaseous form from its highly pressured liquid form.
General indicators that your your main expansion valve will need to be replaced
- Cooled air is warmer than the usual air exiting the air handler
- The air conditioner takes its sweet time in its effort to cool
