The blower motor is responsible for distributing circulated air all through the house. A blower motor is a main element of any indoor portion of a split system and performs an essential duty in distributing the heated or cooled air.
Indications that your Carrier blower motor is going to die and should be replaced
- Your blower creates an awful thumping or grinding noise while the motor is starting or ending.
- Your blower finds it very hard to generate the correct amount of air in the house.
- When starting the system the circuit breaker flips, putting a stop to the startup sequence as a result of the blower motor shorting itself out.
- The blower begins and stops frequently before the end of the run.
