Carrier 50JX Expansion Valve
Pretty much every air conditioning system has an expansion valve that allows the coolant to expand back to its low-pressure vapor state from a high pressure liquid state. Any home AC unit could not emit cold air with no functioning valve.
Warnings of a bad expansion valve
- The air conditioned air is much warmer than it should be so as to feel comfortable in the house
- AC takes too long in its attempt cool the home
