Carrier 50JX030300 Ignition Control Board
The ignition control board is a safety device that has control over gas intake, the ignition timing and some other sensors. It has been a very important safety feature that some manufacturers have decided to blend to be a standard part of the main board instead of a separate board.
What are some indications that my Carrier ignition control board really needs to be replaced?
- Communication from the main thermostat never gets to the control board
- Ignition cycle declines to initiate when it receives a proper signal
- Everything else in the system is explored and ends up being fine
