Carrier 50JX036300 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for keeping the compressor cool, when heat is removed from the house, that heat has got to be discharged into the air outside. The unit may be replaced on its own without the blade, this will make it a lot easier to install and helps you save some money. Please make sure the replacement motor has the same voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor.
What are the signs that the fan motor is about to stop working?
- An ugly crackling noise when the cooling fan stops
- The Carrier cooling motor fails to spin at all
- The main cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out when it is spinning
