Carrier 50JZ030310 Thermistor
A very basic thermistor is a thermal resistor, that has a fluctuating resistance that is altered by temperature at its location. They tell the main board when a temperature reaches a certain point. The system control board must know the temp in several different areas to know what to do next.
What to see if the Carrier thermister is about to go out?
- The heating and cooling system may not initiate the starting sequence due to a thermistor that is stuck open
- Primary blower could possibly fail in its attempt to begin full speed blowing
