Carrier 50QT Ignition Control Board
The main ignition control board controls the gas valve, the igniter and other important devices. It has been a very important electronic safety board that some companies have moved to be a standard part of the main board instead of having two separate boards.
General indicators that your the major ignition board will eventually need to be replaced
- Ignition system is unwilling to begin at all
- Every other device connected to the system is explored and ends up being OK
- The on-signal from the main thermostat never gets to the Carrier control board
