Carrier 50RQ Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost control board is jobbed with determining when to begin an important defrosting cycle in order to keep the outdoor unit free from frost build-up. It looks to a sensor located somewhere by the condenser to make the decision on when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
