Carrier 50TC-A04 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is one that will sense the flame while the system is starting. As you could guess, when the sensor is triggered by an event the furnace cannot start again for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
Signals of a worsening primary flame sensor
- The gas entering the furnace cannot properly ignite and the system throws an error code
- The unit will start rarely at the stroke of midnight after the second full moon following the second Sunday of the month
- Your heating system is unable to generate heat and shuts down
