Carrier 50TC-A05 Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then the house will never get warm enough.
Major clues of an ineffective limit type switch
- System will not even start or will not stay running as it should
- The Carrier system starts to erratically repeatedly
