The AC in your house can not run if the expansion valve was either damaged or just not working properly. Pretty much every air conditioning system has an expansion valve that facilitates in helping the refrigerant to expand into its regular vapor state from a liquid.
Signs of a bad expansion valve
- The cooling system takes a long time in attempting to keep things cool
