Carrier 50TC Flame Sensor
The flame sensor can only be found on furnaces that burn a gas. It is a safety sensor that will dependably sense the appropriate flame when igniting the system. As expected, if the flame sensor gets set off the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the main issue is remedied.
Clues the primary flame sensor should need replacing
- The furnace works infrequently when the time is right
- The propane or natural gas finds it impossible to properly ignite and shut down
- Your system is unwilling to supply heat and completely shuts down
