The defrost sensor control board will begin the defrost sequence which may be necessary to keep the outdoor unit free from frost build-up. The defrost board relies on a temperature sensor located in the outdoor unit to ascertain when the defrost cycle should begin.

- The main control board may throw an error signal produced by a bad defrost control board
