Carrier 50TFF004 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is an important safety feature that will reliable sense the flame upon ignition. As with most safety features, if the sensor goes off the furnace will not start until the problem is repaired.
Some clues of a faulty furnace flame sensor
- The whole system will run sporadically at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The gas furnace refuses to even start no matter what
- The gas supplying the furnace has a tough time trying to begin an ignition sequence and some type of error flashes on the main board
