Carrier 50TFQ012 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that determines when the heated air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air never warms up then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
What are some hints that my limit switch most likely is about to go out?
- The Carrier system is starting to run erratically repeatedly
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or will not stay running even though the desired temperature has not been attained
