Carrier 50XL-A60 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is only found on gas furnaces. It is a sensor that will sense the flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. For obvious reasons, if the sensor goes off everything stops for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.
How do you know if your Carrier flame sensor is almost going bad?
- The entire heating system will sometimes work infrequently but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
- The LP or natural gas has difficulty trying to properly ignite and closes down
- The furnace is unwilling to begin operations whatsoever
