Carrier 50XP042300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has an important job of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It can be replaced without the necessity of buying a fan blade too, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and helps you save some money. Please make sure you are able to buy one with the correct voltage listed and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor.
How do you know if your fan motor is in need of replacing?
- You may hear screeching sound when the motor is starting
- The Carrier cooling motor does not move the blade
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out as it spins
