A flame sensor is a very important part of the safety feature set that will sense the appropriate flame when the system starts. Due to the overall safety issue, if the sensor generated a error the gas valve is shut off and the system halts for as long as it takes to remedy the problem.

- The main type of gas finds it impossible to start an ignition sequence and shuts itself off
