Carrier 50XT-A48 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is one that will dependably sense the appropriate flame while the system is starting. As with any other safety sensor, when the flame sensor gets triggered by something the whole HVAC system will remain stopped for as long as the problem remains.
Major clues the primary flame sensor will need to be replaced
- Your gas furnace is unable to work and shuts down
- The type of gas you use cannot start an ignition sequence and the main board displays on error code
- The unit will run sometimes only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
