Carrier 50XZ Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that determines when the air is warm enough to activate the main blower. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the warmed air is too cool then the house will never get warm enough.
Major signs of an ineffective limit switch
- The Carrier system begins to behave differently occasionally
- System will not start nor will it stay running for any length of time
