Carrier 50XZ030300 Limit Switch
The limit switch is a type of sensor switch located in the furnace that makes the determination when the heated air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. Limit switches were created because if the air never warms up the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
What warnings are present when my limit type switch really is on its last leg?
- The whole system starts to shut down unexpectedly more than once
- The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or run even though max temp has not been reached
