Carrier 50XZ060300 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is only used on furnaces that burn gas and is one that can sense the proper flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As expected, if the flame sensor senses a problem the furnace will not start until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Some warnings the primary flame sensor needs replacing ASAP
- Your
system cannot ramp up when it is supposed to - The unit will work sometimes only after the second full moon of the month on a Tuesday
- The LP or natural gas refuses to begin igniting and some type of error flashes on the main board
