Carrier 50ZH Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board determines when or if to start the defrost sequence which may be necessary to defrost your outdoor unit. It depends on a sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to agree when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Major signs of an inadequate defrost sensor board
- The system will cease to operate due in part to too much frost
- The defrost feature never begins even though there is a lot of frost that needs to be removed
- The main control board might issue an alphanumeric error code if the defrost control board fails
