Carrier 50ZH Transformer
A basic electrical transformer is a regular occurrence in most things electrical including heating and cooling systems as it transforms electricity usually from a higher voltage to a lower voltage. Transformers are specialized devices so be sure you replace it with the same voltage and amperage needs. If any transformer needs to be swapped out, be sure to replace it with one that is properly assessed for the correct voltage that is needed.
What red flags are there that my transformer is about to go out?
- Little or no power can be found exiting the transformer while using a measuring device
- Flawed voltage is measured across the transformer
- System transformer physically looks damaged or maybe smells like its on fire white the system is on
