Carrier 50ZP036300 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor has the main duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat that needs to be driven away. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced on its own as this makes installation simpler and reduce costs overall. Please make sure the replacement motor has the proper voltage and the same amps as it is on the current motor.
Some warnings the fan motor has very little life left
- The main cooling motor smells burnt or sparks as it is used
- A disturbing rubbing noise when the motor starts
- The Carrier motor fails to spin at all
