Carrier 50ZP060300 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has a specific duty of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat must be discharged into the air outside. The unit may be replaced solely on its own, this may make it a lot easier and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Just make sure you buy a replacement motor with the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor.
What red flags are there that my Carrier fan motor is in need of replacing?
- The cooling motor starts to smoke or shorts out while it tries to spin
- The Carrier motor fails to spin at all
- A distinct squeaking sound while the motor is just starting
