Carrier 51CM Transformer
A transformer is used frequently in anything electrical including your HVAC system as it usually converts electricity to a different voltage, 120V to 12V, for example. If you need to replace one, make sure to get one that is rated for the exact voltage that is necessary. Transformers are all different so make sure you meet the voltage readings.
Do you know if your electrical transformer is crapping out?
- Zero power calculated at the output of the transformer using a voltmeter
- System transformer physically appears melted or may smell burnt when in use
- Wrongly displayed volts is calculated from the output of the transformer
