Carrier 52F Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor has an important job of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be discharged into the air outside. Be certain the new motor has the correct voltage listed and the precise amperage as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this will make it a lot easier to install and it is something you can do yourself.
Some warnings the cooling fan motor will have to be replaced
- The Carrier motor tries but fails to turn at all
- A distinct rubbing noise when the motor is starting
- The cooling motor catches fire or sparks when in use
