Carrier 58CTA04510012 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is in charge of cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat energy has to be discharged into the air outside. Please make sure the replacement motor has the correct voltage and the correct amp listing as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced as a whole unit with the blade or by itself, which this results in a simpler type of replacement and it is something you can do yourself.
Warnings your fan motor is dying
- The Carrier cooling motor tries but fails to turn the blade
- The main cooling motor smells burnt or sparks when it is spinning
- A constant grinding noise when the motor speeds up
