Carrier 58CTA07010016 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is in charge of keeping the compressor cool, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be dissipated. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with or without the blade, this makes replacing it a lot easier to do and helps you save some money. Just make sure you are able to buy one with the correct voltage as well as amps as on the current fan motor.
Important signs the cooling fan motor should be replaced
- A weird screeching sound when the motor starts or stops
- The motor starts to smoke or shorts out as it turns
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn the blade
