Carrier 58CTA13510022 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch contains a sensor in the heating area that determines when the heated air is warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is due to the fact that if the air never warms up inside the exchanger then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Major signs limit switch is in dire need of a replacement
- Your system begins to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more than once
- The HVAC system refuses to start nor will it stay running longer than 10 minutes
