Carrier 58CTX11010016 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor is responsible for cooling the compressor, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be dispersed in order to keep things cool. Be sure you find one with the voltage that is the same and the correct amp listing as it is on the current motor. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced with or without the blade, this results in an easier installation and reduce the price overall.
Major signs the cooling fan motor is not going to last much longer
- A disturbing rubbing or scraping sound while the cooling fan is beginning to turn
- The Carrier motor cannot turn the blade
- The compressor cooling motor smells burnt or shorts out as it is used
