Carrier 58CTX13510022 Cooling Fan Motor
The fan motor on the compressor is responsible for keeping the compressor cool, because a large quantity of heat gets released and that heat must be dispelled into the air. The motor on the compressor fan can be replaced without the need of replacing the blade too, this results in a simpler type of replacement and will reduce the costs you need to pay. Please make sure the replacement motor has the correct voltage listed as well as amperage as on the current fan motor.
Signs your fan motor has to be replaced
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn at all
- A constant screeching sound as the motor speeds up
- The motor catches fire makes a zapping sound as it is used
