A basic electrical transformer is quite common in electrical appliances including heating and cooling systems as it changes a normal current of electricity from one that is higher to a lower voltage. If one needs replacing, make sure to get one that is rated for the voltage that is required. Transformers are specialized devices and must adhere to strict electrical requirements.
Signals of a weak main transformer
- Zero volts analyzed leaving the transformer while using a voltmeter
- Voltage transformer physically appears cracked or perhaps smokes while in use
- Cycling voltages is measured coming from the transformer
