Carrier 58DH Limit Switch
The limit switch contains a sensor in the air handler that can determine when the air is warm enough that it can be circulated throughout the house. Limit switches exist because if the air never warms up then you will never get hot air through the ducts.
Some clues limit switch will need to be replaced
- The HVAC system will not initiate or continue to run even though the desired temperature has not been attained
- The whole system begins to run erratically occasionally
