Carrier 58DLA070 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor is responsible for cooling the outdoor compressor, this is needed because of the heat that needs to be dispersed in order to keep things cool. It can be replaced without having to go through the hassle of getting a new blade as this tends to make things easier and it is something you can do yourself. Just make certain the replacement motor has the same voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor.
What signals that my condenser fan motor is not working properly?
- An ugly crackling noise when the cooling fan is just starting
- The compressor cooling motor begins to smoke or shorts out when in use
- The Carrier motor fails to spin at all
