Carrier 58DLA09010014 Cooling Fan Motor
The compressor fan motor has the main duty of keeping the compressor cool, because as the compressor gets hot the heat must be dispelled into the air. Be sure you buy a replacement motor with the similar voltage and the proper amount of amperage as it is on the bad motor. It can be replaced without needing to replace the fan blade, this results in a simpler type of replacement and make it a probable DIY project.
What happens when my cooling fan motor is dying?
- A disturbing grinding sound when the cooling fan starts or stops
- The cooling motor smells burnt or throws sparks as it turns
- The Carrier cooling motor cannot turn the blade
