Carrier 58DLA110 Limit Switch
A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the air handler that decides when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents. One big reason why limit switches are designed that way is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts.
What are the signs that the chief limit switch is almost going bad?
- System refuses to kick in or will not stay running longer than a minute
- The system starts to behave differently more often than not
