Indications that your blower motor is going to die and should be replaced
- The blower motor creates an awful thumping or grinding noise while the HVAC system is starting or stopping.
- The blower motor will occasionally start and stops regularly before the heating or cooling tamp has been reached.
- The main blower has a real hard time making and pushing even a small volume of air through the ducts.
- Upon starting the system the circuit breaks, suddenly halting the unit because the motor shorted out.
