Carrier 58DLA11010022 Thermistor
In an HVAC system, a thermistor is a thermal resistor, that has a varied resistance that changes as it depends on the amount of, or lack thereof, heat. They can tell the system control board when a certain temperature has been reached. The heating system reads the temperature in some specific areas of the system to do its job correctly.
Do you know if your temp regulating thermister is almost dead?
- The blower could possibly fail to begin to get up to full speed
- The heating and AC system could never start up due to any one thermistor that is damaged
